Our History
A Divine Vision Given by God
The foundation of River Church Eldoret rests upon a remarkable divine revelation given to Senior Pastor Borness Chepchirchir Biwott.
In a heavenly vision, Pastor Borness saw a river of clear, crystal-like water flowing, with reeds growing along its banks. She watched as people stepped into the flowing water and received miraculous healing—echoing the biblical vision of Revelation 22:1–2.
In that same vision, God revealed a specific location: Marura.
Faithful Beginnings
(2018–2020)
Long before the church was physically established, Pastor Borness dedicated herself to seeking the Lord through prayer and fasting.
Beginning in 2018, she spent extended seasons praying at home and on prayer mountains. In 2020, Pastor Borness and her husband, Pastor Ezra Biwott, heard the clear voice of the Lord instructing them to plant a church. They launched the ministry with just five members.
Growth and Expansion
(2020–Present)
From those five faithful believers, God has moved miraculously. Today, River Church Eldoret is a thriving spiritual family of over 700 members.
In 2025, in fulfillment of the initial dream, the ministry acquired land in Marura. Worship services began under tents, and the church completed a dedicated Sunday School facility for over 300 children.
Looking Forward to the Future
While currently worshipping under tents, our vision remains burning bright. We are trusting God for the construction of a permanent, magnificent sanctuary dedicated to His glory—a lighthouse for generations to come.
